Kenny Reff is a network news veteran with more than 25 years experience in the industry. He cut his teeth on the front lines at CNN, and since forming Limelight, has crafted hundreds of prestigious corporate image and public affairs videos.
While a Senior Producer with CNN, Mr. Reff produced live coverage of major political events and breaking news stories around the world. During his seven-year tenure with the 24-hour news pioneer, he field-produced the network's coverage of two presidential campaigns and was Executive Producer for the coverage of numerous special events. Under direct requests from Ted Turner, Mr. Reff also created and produced original programming for the network, including weekly shows, series and specials.
Earlier, Mr. Reff created and taught a television production course at Boston University. The class, which he conceived, became a core requirement for those seeking a degree in Broadcast Journalism.
As Executive Producer and President of Limelight Communications, Mr. Reff has produced more than a thousand videos for Fortune 500 companies, major national associations, and the television networks. Among them... Apple, the White House, NASA, America Online, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Johnson & Johnson, American Lung Association, AARP, Avon, MCI, Disney, DreamWorks, National Archives, PBS, CNN and NBC. He has also regularly produced for Washington's major public relations firms, including Hill and Knowlton, Ogilvy & Mather, Burson Marsteller, Ketchum and Spectrum Science Public Relations.
Awards won by Mr. Reff include the Silver Anvil, Public Relations Society of America Thoth Award, New York Festivals Award, Washington D.C. International Film Festival Rosebud Award, Communicator Award, Vision Award, National Cable Television Secure Signal Award, the Axiem Award and numerous Telly Awards.
Mr. Reff holds a Master of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism (Summa Cum Laude honors) from Boston University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Broadcasting (Summa Cum Laude honors) from San Francisco State University.
His daughter, Melissa, is on track to make a difference in the fashion industry.
